I’m going to make an admission. I don’t give a hoot’s ass if you think me weird once I spill this secret. But I’m proud to say that this has helped loads in my advertising campaigns.

I love doing what I’m doing. Being an Internet marketer is probably the coolest job in the world. Not only do I get to earn more than what most are earning, I get the chance to make a difference in the lives of people I come in contact with- be it online or off.

Times are hard. This is one helluva fact that we have to live with in this day and age. Our economy is just beginning to recover from a slump. Some are still hard-pressed to find jobs. Generally, people are more careful about how and where they spend their money.

The free gift. It always works wonders, doesn’t? By bundling something up with your main product, you entice customers to make the purchase. After all, who could resist a freebie? We always see this tactic used in grocery store items- the free soap with a bottle of shampoo, the small cologne packaged together with a lotion, the pillow with a bed purchase.

I wanna ask you something: Why do you advertise? I can almost feel your smirk as you answer: “Isn’t it obvious? To get my product known, of course!” Well, if that’s your answer, man, you’re bound to lose. Big time.

Great advertising pulls in the sales. I’ve said that before and it’s damn worth repeating. But here’s something new: Any and all of your ads depends on your headline. If your headline nails it, you can be sure of the follow-through: Customers take a second look, decide your product is for them and finally give you their money.

Only a privileged few are born to lead. All the rest are meant to follow. This is a universal truth. If you don’t agree with me, just look at how many positions there are in government and compare that with the population in this country. Yes, you can wax all philosophical about this and say that it’s a social contract, the leaders aren’t really leaders but only given authority by the people and blah blah blah. But the truth of the matter is, the general population looks upon these so-called public servants as leaders.

Let’s say you want to go into Internet marketing. You list your skills, talents, the capital that you need. You then realize that you can make profit out of writing an ebook on first aid treatments for animal and insect bites. But as you begin to read more on the complexities of selling online, you realize that writing is only the beginning. There are website design, ebook layout and advertising considerations to think about. There are surveys and statistics to understand. There are client interests and mindsets to take into account.

I just came from an absolutely relaxing weekend. It was totally rejuvenating to spend it with my wife and kids-just chillin’. And now fully recharged, I’m back to work. Throw those difficult tasks and corporate hell right here, baby, coz I’m all fired up and ready to go!
